ROMA – The hit on the nose of an Ita Airways Airbus A320 – took off on March 7th from Rome Fiumicino at 8.25am and headed to Amsterdam – it’s big and showy. To the point of fueling the rumor for hours that the plane had hit a drone in the skies of the capital.
But an Ita Airways spokesperson resolutely denies this scenario – certainly more serious – and specifies that the accident is classified, in technical terms, as a “bird strike”.
