Berlin (dts news agency) – FDP leader and Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner wants to motivate citizens to work more. You have to “make people want to work overtime because it might be worth it for tax purposes,” said Lindner on Sunday evening on the ARD program “Caren Miosga”.
The step from citizen’s money into at least a small job must also be worthwhile. “This may even be a mentality reform,” said Linder. “Work also creates meaning, it structures everyday life.”
The discussion about easing the debt brake is now a theoretical discussion, partly because there is a lack of skilled workers. According to the finance minister, only 21 billion euros were drained from the climate and transformation fund of 36 billion euros.
