Ensure a solid future for Leonardo’s Genoese automation hub by intervening as soon as possible on organization, governance, processes and dimensions, also to protect employment levels. This is the position expressed by Leonardo regarding the prospects of the Automation Business Unit in Genoa.
“The first step, which Leonardo is already taking, is to make timely targeted interventions on Automation to guarantee the Business Unit a flexible and agile cost and governance structure, in line with its reference market – commented Simonetta Iarlori , Chief People Organization and Transformation Officer of Leonardo – (…) These are choices that cannot be postponed, if we want to ensure a solid future for this reality ”.
For Leonardo this path makes sense if two conditions are met: the long-term perspective and the safeguarding of the employment level.
But that’s not all, because one of the possible developments is also that of a sale to third parties. “Among the various options Leonardo is working on is the search for a partner with an industrial perspective, also able to detect Automation over time, who can guarantee the Business Unit to be competitive in the long term, with an adequate size and a dedicated investment capacity ”, says the group led by Alessandro Profumo.
