French exports to Libya amounted to $325 million in 2023, recording an increase of 36.4% compared to 2022. The data, taken from the Libya Observer news site, is from the French embassy in Tripoli.

The increase represents a record compared to the last eight years. French exports to Libya mainly consist of pharmaceuticals, industrial and agricultural machinery, agricultural products, refined products, perfumes, cosmetics and chemicals.

The increase in exports is considered a positive indicator of the recovery of economic and trade relations between the two countries. This growth comes as France seeks to strengthen its presence in Libya.
