Markets could see a fairly substantial correction from now to the end of the year compared to the records reached in recent weeks. This is what emerges from a survey published today by Deutsche Bank where the majority of the over 550 professionals interviewed indicate the possibility of a correction in the stock market of 5% -10% by the end of the year.
The survey, conducted from 7 to 9 September, sees 58% of respondents declare that they expect a decline in shares by the end of the year. About one third of respondents (32%) cite the failure to materialize strong economic growth or its short duration as risks to market stability. There is also a waning of confidence in transitional inflation – as reported by central banks – although the baseline scenario remains.
