Quirinale, here is Mattarella’s decision on justice reform
Justice reform Nordic is about to arrive on the table of Mattarella. The issue has sparked a clash between various government representatives who support the line Keeper of the Seals and the judiciary. The minister reiterated: “He decides the policy, just kneel to the judges. I will not stop on the reform”. So the text of the bill is almost ready for the Quirinal.
But the head of state he will not object. There is a load of misleading expectations, on the signature of Sergio Mattarella at the bottom of the first act of the government to reform the justice system. What is being discussed – reads the Corriere della Sera – is “the authorization to submit to the Chambers a bill“, presented by Minister Nordio, which presumably will have a process of a few months and which will be subject to change during construction. In this phase (unlike what happens with the decree-laws), the signature of the president is a due deed. While sifting her will take on a stringent character only at the end of the process, when the law has been perfected e voted by Parliament.
