Mercedes and Amazon: “Alexa, book a test drive”

Mercedes offers a new gateway to its world: Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant. Thanks to the new ‘Mercedes-Benz’ Skill available on Alexa, it is in fact possible to search for the nearest dealership, book a test drive or request a quote through Amazon’s voice assistant. A new point of contact with customers or potential customers that integrates with existing ones and makes the customer journey even more engaging. To activate the interaction with the voice assistant and use the functions offered by the skill, simply say the command: ā€œAlexa, start Mercedes-Benzā€.

Synergy between real and digital world

The synergy between physical and digital experience represents a fundamental element of the Best Customer Experience 4.0 and represents a strategic element for establishing a continuity relationship with customers, with a high level of loyalty. As part of this strategy, fans of the three-pointed Star (especially the youngest and technology lovers) can now count on a new gateway to get in touch with the Brand. The brand new Alexa ‘Mercedes-Benz’ Skill allows, in fact, to book a test drive, request a quote or search for a dealership, through a set of simple assisted voice journeys.

How does it work

To access this new skill, any device with Alexa integration is sufficient. To activate the interaction with the voice assistant and open the functions offered by the Skill, just say the command: ā€œAlexa, start Mercedes-Benzā€. In the next steps, you can ask Alexa to search for the nearest dealership, book a test drive or request a quote.

Amazon’s voice assistant will then ask the user for permission to use the data needed to process the request and provide the response. Within a few hours, the Mercedes-Benz Customer Contact Center will contact the user, collecting the information needed to forward the request to the dealer.
