Europe is facing another difficult transition marked by the double objective of hitting the carbon tax and the global minimum tax. On both pitches it is split within itself and must take into account the critical positions of the United States. Both measures have noble purposes: the carbon tax serves to combat the tragedy of climate change by limiting CO2 emissions; the global minimum tax is used to finally make multinationals, including web companies, pay taxes fairly, and prevent them from taking refuge in tax havens, including European ones.
