BRUSSELS. “In our political guidelines we have promised a law to guarantee fair minimum wages in the EU. With today’s political agreement on our proposal on adequate minimum wages, we are accomplishing our task. The new rules will protect the dignity of work and ensure that work pays off ». The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, writes on Twitter, welcoming the political agreement reached overnight on the minimum wage.
