Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently held a “GigaFest” carnival in Glenheide, southeast of Berlin, to celebrate the completion of the first Tesla super factory in Europe. In order to hold this rave party, Tesla obtained special permission from the Berlin government to bypass the restrictions of the new coronavirus epidemic.

Approximately 9,000 local people were summoned to participate in the event. But judging from the videos posted on social media, there were not so many people participating. All the visitors first visited the workshop of the factory, and the body assemblers showed their own performance: they danced in front of the audience and painted for them.

After that, Musk and his mother took the stage together and gave a welcome speech in German. Musk promised that he will soon open a brewery and a carnival club in the factory area. Musk finally said: “Now the carnival until late at night. Come on Berlin-Brandenburg!”

At the carnival party, the audience was attracted by balloon dancing robots and children’s mini cars like Tesla cars. German DJ Boris Brejcha (Boris Brejcha) is responsible for the carnival music.

Musk said that the factory plans to attract 12,000 experts to work and plans to produce 500,000 electric cars every year. The first batch of cars will be off the assembly line within six weeks.

However, the construction of the factory also triggered protests from local residents, who believed that the factory would pose a threat to the environment. They said that because of the construction of factories, it is necessary to cut down the forest, which will cause water pollution and destroy the local animal population. At the same time as this event was held, ecological activists also held a rally against the commissioning of the super factory.
