The invitation shows an Apple Pencil drawing. This in turn points to new iPads. They would be the first new Apple tablets since the end of 2022.
Apple has an event scheduled for May 7th announced for the presentation of new products. The invitation features a GIF showing an Apple Pencil and several drawn Apple logos. Since the iPad is the company’s only product that supports the stylus, Apple will apparently introduce new tablets in early May.
As always, Apple’s invitation contains few details. The event begins at 7 a.m. local time (10 p.m. CEST) and is themed “Let Loose,” which hints at new features for the Apple Pencil and also Apple tablets.
There has been speculation for a long time about an iPad Pro with an OLED display. Apple is also said to be working on new Magic Keyboard cases and new iPads Air – including a display that has been enlarged to 12.9 inches. Apple is also said to be basing the new iPad Air on earlier models of the iPad Pro. Apple last introduced new iPads at the end of 2022.
It is unclear whether Apple will present all of the planned functions with the new iPads. Since Apple’s WWDC developer conference starts at the beginning of June, some software innovations could only be introduced with the upcoming version of iPadOS.
