The new Lancia Ypsilon is reality. After prototypes that ended up soaking, more or less stolen sightings, the third generation of the Italian compact is shown as a preview in an official video awaiting the debut scheduled for February 14th. Revealed in a limited edition Cassina version, available in Italy in 1906 units, certified and numbered, in homage to the year of birth of the Lancia brand. The video shows the car externally and internally, where the SALA (Sound Air Light Augmentation) infotainment system debuts, applied for the first time by Stellantis on a production car.

New Lancia Ypsilon electric autonomy

For now, the official technical data sheet of the new electric Lancia Ypsilon is not known, while the autonomy of up to 403 kilometers with WLTP approval has been communicated. Under a bodywork with a decidedly personal style, and with strong references to the past such as the rear lights inspired by the legendary Stratos, there is the CMP (Common Modular Platform) platform shared with multi-energy Stellantis models such as the Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsa.

The placing of the video online coincides with the launch of the “1 of 1906” campaign, dedicated to those who want to be among the first 1906 customers. The process involves joining the “1 of 1906” campaign which constitutes a non-binding expression of interest to be contacted for information on the car without requiring a pre-order or the payment of any deposit. The launch offer for the car will also be available on February 14th and the tour of the car will begin the following day at all Italian Lancia showrooms. The collaboration with Cassina is reflected in the attention to stylistic details, from the choice of materials to that of colours. Symbol of this collaboration are the exclusive stylistic details, from the Sapphire Blue color of the exterior to the blue of the interior, from the velvet seats characterized by the “cannelloni” motif, to the multifunctional table bearing the Cassina signature, a new design element, as well as first table used inside a car.
