New solutions from the first edition of the Innovation for Sustainability Summit

Innovation as the main lever to support and accompany organizations and companies on their path towards sustainable development. This is the ideal fil rouge of the first edition of the Innovation for Sustainability Summit, a new international event organized by the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability (EIIS), chaired by Carlo Alberto Pratesi, in collaboration with Business International and Fiera Milano. Two days of practical workshops, case studies and an exhibition area that extends over 3 thousand square meters where you can discover and learn about trends, advanced technologies and new business models oriented towards innovation for sustainability. The aim of the Summit is above all to promote the technological solutions presented by market leaders in Italy and to stimulate in managers and institutions an innovative interpretation of the problems linked to the difficult relationship between natural resources and industrial production. All this also through a creative contamination generated by the contemporary art exhibition entitled “Circular art” in which ten young artists, selected for Spazio Taverna were asked to interpret the concept of circular economy, offering a personal and completely original vision of sustainability. “The Summit is intended to be an opportunity for exchange between the most important Italian companies and authoritative institutional experts in a unique setting like that of Palazzo Taverna, a dynamic and multidisciplinary laboratory that brings together, according to a completely unusual formula, seventeenth-century rooms, corporate innovations aimed at sustainability, contemporary artists »explains Carlo Alberto Pratesi, president of the Institute. “At EIIS we are convinced that the balance between economic growth, environment and society is the challenge on which the future of humanity depends and that is why we launched the Innovation for Sustaibability Summit: to stimulate people, companies and institutions to experiment, to go beyond the present »added Andrea Geremicca, general manager of EIIS. Partners of the initiative are: Apa, Avalon, Conai, Confagricoltura, Bain & Company, DSS +, Enel X, Ferrarelle, Ferrero, Freehills, Herbert & Smith, Green Building Council, Lumsa, Ministry of Education, Moige, Novartis, Philip Morris , Procter & Gamble, Poste Italiane, Rai Cinema Channel, Rebrain, Regenerazione 2050, Save the Children, Social Innovation Monitor, Tier, Uber, University of Arkansas, Unione Italiana Food.
