Net non-performing loans (i.e. net of write-downs and provisions already made by banks with their own resources) in November 2021 are € 17.6 billion, an increase compared to € 16.7 billion in October 2021 and € 15.4 billion in September 2021 . While bad loans are down compared to a year earlier, when they recorded 23.5 billion in November 2020 (-5.9 billion equal to -25.1%) and 29.3 billion in November 2019 (-11.7 billion equal to -39.9%) (see Table 3). Compared to the maximum level of net bad loans, reached in November 2015 (88.8 billion), the reduction is 71.2 billion (equal to -80.1%).
