Pension funds: in the first half + 1.5% positions, resources rise to 205.5 billion

At the end of the first half of 2021, there were 9.48 million outstanding positions with complementary pension schemes, up by 1.5% compared to the end of 2020 (+ 138 thousand units). This was reported by Covip, the supervisory commission on pension funds, in a note adding that, again in June, the resources allocated to services are 205.5 billion, or approximately 7.6 billion more than at the end of 2020. net assets amounted to € 63 billion, 4.4 per cent more. For open-ended funds, it stood at 27.2 billion and 41.4 billion for the “new” PIP (individual pension plan of the insurance type), increasing by 7.3 and 6 per cent respectively.
