Moto Guzzi looks to the future for the next 100 years. And it does so with the construction of a new futuristic factory that plans to produce 40,000 motorcycles a year, doubling the current production and increasing the number of employees, who are now 200 plus 80 seasonal workers. The renovation project will start within the year to be completed by 2025. The investment figure has not been formalized, but the goal is to go from the current 15-20 thousand bikes to 40 thousand. There is also talk of hundreds of new hires.
The presentation took place in Mandello del Lario, in the historic industrial site, where the motorcycles of the Aquila brand have been produced for a century. «We wanted to give a soul to the factory that will no longer be just a place of work but also of aggregation. We will open our doors to the public by organizing many events »says the development and innovation manager of the Piaggio group Michele Colaninno.
