Toned day for Piazza Affari, among the best stock exchanges in Europe. A positive session right from the start, with a bullish acceleration in the afternoon supported by the good start of Wall Street following the announcement of the FOMC, the monetary policy arm of the Fed. In Milan, the session was filed with a growth of 1.41% to 26,081.13 points.
On the European lists, including Piazza Affari, the ‘risk-on’ mode remains active in the wake of the decisions of the FOMC which in fact has not given any exact information on when the reduction in asset purchases will start, which takes place with Quantitative easing for a worth $ 120 billion per month. In the press conference following the announcement, Fed number one Jerome Powell pointed out, however, that “a gradual tapering process that ends around the middle of next year is probably appropriate.” A positive sentiment despite the fears still linked to the Evergrande case and the weak indications coming from the front of the manufacturing and services SMEs of the euro zone.
In Piazza Affari the best in the main list was UniCredit (+ 3.3%). The group led by Orcel announced that the board meeting for the approval of the quarterly report will be held on Wednesday 27 October 2021 instead of Wednesday 10 November 2021. “Consequently, the presentation of the group results for the third quarter and the first 9 months of the 2021 (publication of results and conference call) will take place on Thursday 28 October instead of Thursday 11 November 2021 “, reads the note.
Second place for Banca Mediolanum, which gained + 3.2%, Amplifon (2.6%) and Enel (+ 2%) also did well. The stock of the Italian energy group led by Starace presented Gridspertise, wholly owned by Enel through its subsidiary Enel Global Infrastructure and Networks, the company dedicated to the digital transformation of electricity grids.
