Among the minus signs today on the Ftse Mib stands that of Poste Italiane, which sells 0.52% to 11.54 euros. Poste itself is involved in the latest rumors related to the game on the governance of Generali. In fact, during the weekend the name of Matteo Del Fante, current CEO of Poste, appeared as a possible candidate for the leadership role of the Trieste insurance company in place of Donnet. According to reports from Il Sole 24 Ore, Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone and Leonardo Del Vecchio – the two strong shareholders of Generali who are opposing the current governance – should present their slate for the renewal of the Generali board in mid-February. The Generali assembly is scheduled for 29 April.
Del Fante is in his second term at the helm of Poste. In the past he was also CEO of Terna and General Manager of CDP.
