The Tokyo Auto Salon is set to kick off, with Honda leading the way with their lineup of cars for the event. From the Red Bull RB19 F1 World Champion to the latest Honda Civic Type R, fans can expect to see a wide range of daring and ambitious proposals from the Japanese car manufacturer.
Honda’s sports division, Mugen, will be showcasing their modifications of the Type R at the Auto Salon, featuring two versions – Group A and Group B. The Group A modification includes a new, more aggressive front splitter, redesigned rear spoiler, and other aerodynamic enhancements. Group B, on the other hand, takes the modification to the next level, with additional air vents, an extra muscular appearance, and even more aggressive styling reminiscent of the golden era of tuning.
In addition to the visual modifications, Mugen has also added performance enhancements including new 19-inch forged wheels from BBS, new shock absorbers, and upgraded brake calipers. Details about engine enhancements are yet to be confirmed.
More information and images of these new Honda Civic Type R from Mugen will be revealed when the Tokyo Auto Salon opens its doors on January 12th.
