Garmin Unveils HRM-Fit Heart Rate Monitor Designed to Clip Onto Sports Bras at CES 2024
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, Garmin announced the launch of its latest heart rate monitor, the HRM-Fit. What sets this chest strap apart is its unique ability to clip onto the bottom of a sports bra, providing unparalleled comfort and portability. Priced at $150, the HRM-Fit comes with new features such as sleep scores, dance and fitness activity tracking, and contactless payments.
Designed to work without the need for a smartwatch, the HRM-Fit can record and store various training data, subsequently syncing it with the userās smartwatch. However, it is also compatible with Garmin smartwatches, providing detailed information on pace, distance, and stride length. The HRM-Fit is designed to work with medium and high support sports bras, making it a versatile and convenient heart rate monitoring solution for female athletes.
The HRM-Fit is part of Garminās new lineup of products unveiled at CES 2024, which also includes the Lily 2 and Lily 2 Classic smartwatches. The Lily 2 models, priced at $250 and $280 respectively, are tailored to the female audience and offer features such as heart rate monitoring, sleep quality assessment, and connected GPS. The Lily 2 Classic version also includes the contactless payment feature through Garmin Pay.
Garmin also announced major updates to the Garmin Connect app, focusing on providing a more customizable interface for users to monitor their physical activity. The updates, expected to be released before the end of the current year, aim to enhance the user experience by offering customizable sections such as Todayās Activity, Training Plans, and Focus.
CES 2024 is expected to be a major showcase of the latest innovations in technology, including advancements in mobility, food and sustainability technology, health, finance, beauty, and retail. With over 130,000 attendees expected, the event will highlight the most significant products and technologies set to launch in the coming months.
