Ryanair ready to say goodbye to the London Stock Exchange: reduced trade after Brexit

by admin

Revenues in the first half rose by 83% to 2.15 billion euros compared to 1.18 billion euros the previous year. Traffic rebounded 128% to 39.1 million customers from 17.1 million a year ago.

5,000 hires are expected by 2026

The load factor was 79%, up 7 percentage points from 72% a year ago. The company also said its growth plans over the next five years will create 5,000 new jobs for pilots, cabin staff and engineers.

Ryanair plans to invest over € 100 million in another 2 high-skill training centers, possibly in Spain and Poland during this period. Ryanair’s pre-Covid traffic of 149 million passengers is expected to grow to exceed 225 million guests per year by March 2026. The previous target was 200 million per year.

Estimates for 2022

The estimates for the full year 2021-2022 “will be challenging” for Ryanair. “With the booking curve now at an advanced stage – they explain in Dublin – the recovery of traffic will require continuous stimulation on prices”. A factor which, together with “rising prices due to the small uncovered portion of the balance sheet of our energy needs” makes “visibility on the accounts for the entire year very limited”.

“It is therefore difficult – continues the Company – to provide an exhaustive forecast for the entire year”. In any case, the Group believes it will be able to reach “100 million passengers, also depending on the winter fares”, with an estimated operating loss between “100 and 200 million euros”. Figures that will depend “on the progress of the vaccination campaign, excluding non-adverse developments of the Covid 19 pandemic”.
