Safran: Possible $1bn deal to acquire division of Raytheon Technologies

Safran is in talks to purchase a division of Raytheon Technologies that specializes in manufacturing flight control components, in what could be Safran’s largest acquisition in six years.

The French aerospace firm has confirmed it is in an advanced stage of negotiations to purchase “certain flight control and actuation assets” from Raytheon, as part of a competitive bidding process.

Sources close to the matter have revealed that the value of the agreement could be around 1 billion dollars.
