Usucapione is a method of purchasing a property against uninterrupted possession for a certain period by the person who has behaved, in this period of time, like the owner, against the disinterest of the original owner. In order to exercise usucapione, the possession must not have been acquired in a violent or clandestine way and must have lasted for at least 20 years.
