Stellantis rises to 75% of Jeep’s Chinese joint venture

“Stellantis has signed an agreement to buy the majority of the Chinese Jeep joint venture.” This was stated by the CEO of the Carlos Tavares Group illustrating the results of 2021 to financial analysts. The plan to increase the alliance with Gac Group from 50 to 75% was announced by the Group on January 27th.

“In China – explained Tavares – Stellantis is” cleaning up the red ink “and will show how the activities will be reorganized at the presentation of the Strategic Plan on March 1st”. Referring to the past difficulties of the FCA and PSA groups before the merger, Tavares indicated signs of recovery in 2021, underlining that the Celestial Empire is “an opportunity to do better and go further”.
