Double last year, almost five times the bill paid in 2020: the energy bill for the Italian production system is likely to reach 37 billion euros. Last year alone it had gone from 8 to 21 billion euros: a perfect storm that threatens to stop the engine of the country. Bringing the recovery to its knees and boosting inflation, which in January has already flown to 5.1%.
