(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) – The easing of the international situation around Ukraine supports the European markets, which already in the session of Tuesday 15 February caught their breath with a general return of the risk appetite. The withdrawal from the border with Ukraine of part of the Russian troops has eased tensions even if the president of the United States, Joe Biden, believes that “the Russian invasion remains a real risk”. For Russia this is a planned withdrawal at the end of a series of exercises.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended the session with a sharp rise with investors who returned to buy on the market after the easing of tensions between Russia and Ukraine. The Nikkei benchmark index ended the session up 2.22%, to 27,460.40 points. The broader Topix Index also did well, closing trading at 1,946.63 points, up 1.63 percent.
