The personal income tax rates drop from 5 to 4, with the cancellation of the 41% rate and with a 3-point cut of the 38% rate which passes to 35%. This is the political agreement reached at the tax table at the Mef. This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Gilberto Pichetto, who then added: «There is a political agreement to act on the personal income tax rates. And equally a reasoning on Irap that sees a vertical choice, starting from 850 thousand individuals, self-employed persons and sole proprietors, possibly adding start-ups. This is the political agreement, now Franco must talk about it with Draghi, we with our parties and then meet again ».
In detail, the income bracket up to 15 thousand remains at 23%, that of 15-28 thousand drops from 27% to 25%, that of 28-50 thousand from 38% goes to 35%, while over 50 thousand goes directly to 43%. “It is a first structural step, not only for 2022” added Pichetto, explaining that we remain “within the 8 billion” that are on the table.
