Some observers also blame the federal government’s policies for the large difference between the number of lines they have and the number of households actually connected. When it comes to its expansion goals, it pays too little attention to whether lines are not only laid but also used. Do you share this assessment?
Nobody is forced to book a connection and have it installed in their house. But the first step to connecting customers is always bringing the fiber to their homes. Only then can you connect them. Of course, the connected customer is the goal. In order to make progress, the entire industry should talk about concrete, pragmatic steps on how we can simplify the process. In my opinion there is no demand problem. A third to half of our VDSL customers will reach the limit of the technology in the medium term.
