Reuters, Beijing, December 3-China’s State Administration for Market Regulation announced on Friday that the US electric car manufacturer-TeslaTSLA.OThe Shanghai company will recall 21,599 domestically-made Model Y electric vehicles. Due to supplier manufacturing problems, the strength of the front and rear steering knuckles may not meet the design requirements, posing safety risks.
According to the press release here on the website of the State Administration of Supervision, the production date of the recalled Model Y electric vehicles is between February 4, 2021 and October 30, 2021; because the strength of the front and rear steering knuckles may not meet the design requirements Circumstances, the steering knuckle may be deformed or broken during use of the vehicle, and the suspension link may fall out of the steering knuckle under extreme stress conditions.
