Antonio Intiglietta, president of GeFi, the company that organizes the Artigiano in Fiera di Milano is finally optimistic. «Finally», as the slogan chosen for the next edition of one of the most popular and visited events in the city, scheduled from 4 to 12 December next in the spaces of Fiera Milano, in Rho.

“The artisans, and not only Italians, come back to the public after a very difficult year and a half and there is great interest in seeing the innovations and ideas they have created in this time”, adds Intiglietta, who recalls the importance of these small and very small enterprises (with a turnover between 100 thousand and 3-4 million euros and a maximum of 10 employees) for the Italian and European entrepreneurial fabric. “We see it from the reactions on social networks and from the memberships: we think we can replicate, in terms of visitors, the numbers of 2019, when we had reached one million entries”.

On the exhibitor front, it will not be possible to replicate the 3,000 companies present two years ago, but the objectives are nevertheless ambitious: “We are working with the Ministry of Health to ensure maximum participation from countries such as India or Sri Lanka, in compliance with the safety », Intiglietta points out.

“We do a fair like every year and we are convinced, also from the reactions we are receiving, that people are waiting for this appointment and are happy to be able to return to participate in the Artigiano in Fiera live,” he adds. At the fair, micro and small companies from all over the world and from all production sectors, which well represent in their way of working the direction that the whole industry is taking to get out of the crisis, always investing in issues such as sustainability and ‘innovation.
