Since the beginning of this year, my country’s industrial economy has continued to rebound and improve, and its role as a “ballast stone” has further emerged. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that in the first quarter of this year, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 1,505.53 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%, turning from a 2.3% decline in the previous year to positive growth.
The industrial economy is one of the important driving forces for my country’s rapid economic development in the first quarter, demonstrating the resilience and potential of the real economy. Industry insiders pointed out that under the combined influence of multiple factors such as the steady recovery of domestic and foreign demand, the successive implementation of policies, and the low base effect, relying on development advantages such as a complete industrial system, huge market scale, and complete information infrastructure, my country’s industrial recovery is heading towards the good situation is expected to be further consolidated.
As an important livelihood industry and a traditional advantageous industry in my country, the consumer goods manufacturing industry covers light industry, textiles, food, medicine, and other industrial categories. It is an important support for ensuring and meeting the people’s growing consumer demand. With the in-depth implementation of policies to expand domestic demand and promote consumption, consumer demand continues to be released, and the profits of the consumer goods manufacturing industry have maintained steady and rapid growth.
The consumer market breeds new driving forces for the national economy to consolidate its foundation and cultivate its strength, stabilize and improve, and is a vivid manifestation of satisfying the people’s yearning for a better life. Data show that my country’s total retail sales of consumer goods in the first quarter was 12,032.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%, and the scale of the consumer market continued to expand. The consumer goods manufacturing industry continues to make efforts to expand the supply of mid-to-high-end products, and “domestic products” have become the current consumer fashion among young people.
“With the current steady increase in quality satisfaction and brand recognition in my country’s consumer goods market, smart manufacturing, green manufacturing, and ‘Internet+’ collaborative manufacturing have made positive progress in the consumer goods industry,” said academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Qiushi Distinguished Professor, and Zhejiang University PhD candidate instructor Tan Jianrong. “Combining the concept of the metaverse, the development of digital consumption may become the development trend of the consumer goods industry.”
