As of the close, the Dow fell 232.85 points to close at 34079.18 points, a decrease of 0.68%; the Nasdaq Composite fell 168.65 points to close at 13548.07 points, a decrease of 1.23%; the S&P The 500 index fell 31.39 points to close at 4348.87 points, or 0.72%. Popular Chinese concept stocks generally fell, Zhihu fell 12.22%, Pinduoduo and Bilibili fell more than 6%, Baidu fell more than 5%, Alibaba fell more than 4%, and JD.com fell more than 3%.
