The tourism sector is among those that have suffered the most from the pandemic and now from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. It is also in a key position for digital transformation. Therefore theEnitNational Tourism Agency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourismas part of the initiatives envisaged in Strategic Tourism Plan 2017-2022provided for the granting of financial resources for 9 million euros to companies and communication agencies expert in the digital world to develop new tourism promotion processes and interventions, as stated in a note.

Applications must be submitted by April 19. The companies concerned must be suitable for improving the digital communication of the Italian organized tourist offer and favoring the recovery of national and international tourist flows.The aim is to strengthen the competitive positioning of the Italian destination in the internal, international and non-European markets, expanding the reference markets with a differentiated offer; the development of integrated initiatives between different thematic areas such as culture, economy, environment and tourism; to the enhancement of tourist offers and territorial experiences, with the support of local identities as part of a unified, coherent and homogeneous strategy with the destination Italy.

The text of the public notice

Projects, programs and information and promotion campaigns – Enit says – must be carried out, in line with the provisions of the 2017-2022 Strategic Tourism Plan and the UN Agenda 2030, in the context of sustainable development and enhancement of territories and communities with their cultural heritage, in harmony with the environment, in a complex ecological and ecosystem concept.

“A new concrete step for the growth and relaunch of the tourism supply chain, a way to leave no one behind and to look to the future with optimism” declares the president of Enit, Giorgio Palmucci.
