Tunisia: 5 percent of energy comes from renewable sources

Electricity production from renewable energy in Tunisia has reached 5 percent, according to data at the end of February 2024. In January it was 2.5 percent. This data is provided by the Tunisian media Tuniscope.

At the end of February 2024, total electricity production recorded a decline of 7% to 2,733 GWh (including renewable self-production) compared to 2,942 GWh at the end of February 2023.

Tunisia plans to reach a total share of renewable energy in primary energy consumption of 18% in 2035.
