In the first four months of 2024, Tunisia recorded an 8% increase in tourism sector revenue, reaching 1.6 billion dinars (over 511 million dollars) compared to 1.5 billion dinars at the end of April last year. This is what emerges from the data released by the Central Bank of Tunisia and reported by the Tap news agency.
The improvement of the sector translated into a 5% increase in the cumulative revenues of tourism businesses, which went from 2.2 billion dinars to 2.4 billion. Furthermore, the Central Bank’s foreign exchange reserves reached 23.4 billion dinars, compared to 21.8 billion dinars in the same period last year.
