The decision came a few days ago. The regional director, Emanuela Zambataro, and the provincial director of the Institute, Mattia Pennestrì, gave it to employees during a meeting.
When? Before the end of the year. With the services that, it was said, will be unpacked on the territory. The Flussi Agency will go to the Lingotto headquarters, the “Special Funds and Credit and Welfare” to the Borgo San Paolo one, the “Individual Performance and Services” even in the belt, in Collegno, while the management offices – as well as the information – they will go to a building in Corso Vittorio, currently empty.
Why this change? Because the building in via XX Settembre is not publicly owned. Or rather, it was, but then it passed into private hands, specifically to InvestiRe Sgr, a subsidiary of the Banca Finnat group. All in the context of the securitization “campaign” carried out by Giulio Tremonti, when he was the owner of the Ministry of Economy during the Berlusconi II government. In recent years, the INPS has therefore paid a rent and now, as a “severance pay” it will have to pay a fine equal to two years of rent given that the sale provided for the building to comply with the law.
The decision to move the headquarters, however, is not liked. First of all to citizens, who previously used a series of services in one place, central and easily accessible, however, a stone’s throw from the headquarters of Poste Italiane. And then to the workers. Protesting is the Union of the Base, which in a statement accuses the Institute of “withdrawing from the territories, which means contracting the offer for citizens and inconvenience to staff.” “Male and female workers will be asked to make the sacrifice of moving to workplaces far from their homes, with the additional inconvenience of having to go to the Corso Vittorio building to carry out the information activity, thus forced into a double commuting “.
The union has arranged for a protest garrison in front of the historic site for March 2. Also to underline the way in which the communication would take place.
