US Federal Reserve sees slower price increases and “modest” economic growth

“Contacts from most counties indicated that economic growth was modest,” the Fed said on Wednesday in the report known as the “Beige Book,” which is released two weeks before each Monetary Open Market Committee meeting. Almost all counties said companies have “reconfirmed their previously unfulfilled expectations that wage growth will generally slow in the near future.”
