Vodafone recently announced a 10-year strategic partnership with Microsoft. The main objective is to implement advanced generative artificial intelligence, digitalization and cloud computing services, aimed at an audience of over 300 million businesses and consumers in the European and African markets.
Vodafone’s planned investment amounts to $1.5 billion and will be focused on the development of customer-oriented artificial intelligence solutions. These solutions will leverage Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI and Copilot technologies. Furthermore, Vodafone has confirmed that it will replace its physical data centers with Microsoft’s Azure cloud services, ensuring greater cost-effectiveness and scalability.
