At the same time as the Id.7 Gtx Tourer electric station wagon, Volkswagen also presents the compact Id.3 labeled Gtx which will also be marketed in the coming months. The arrival of this version, offered in two variants that differ in particular in terms of power, completes the line of sportier proposals in Volkswagen’s electric range.
Volkswagen Id.3 Gtx, normal e performance
The id.3 does the Gtx in its own way, that is, by introducing both a new interpretation of Volkswagen’s latest generation electric motor, i.e. the one brought to its debut by the flagship Id.7, and by renouncing all-wheel drive with the obvious aim of not increase the price. In fact, the Id.3 Gtx is offered only with an electric motor placed at the rear, available in two power variants which give rise to the normal and Performance Gtx variants respectively. The first adopts the unit with 286 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque that also equips the less powerful Id.7, which pushes it up to 180 per hour and 100 per hour in 6”0. Instead, the Performance features a unit with 326 horsepower but still with 545 Nm of torque, which is the most powerful version of the family of Volkswagen’s new electric motors which allows it to touch 200 per hour and reach 100 per hour in 5”6. The powertrains of these GTXs are powered by a 79 kWh lithium ion battery which can be recharged in direct current up to 175 kW from 10 to 80% in less than half an hour. As regards autonomy, the company currently claims ranges in the order of 600 kilometres. The set-up, in the case of the standard adaptive Dcc Sport Performance, and the steering of the Id.3 Gtx have been specifically adjusted to optimize both the behavior and the naturalness of driving. Both Id.3 Gtx also come with many latest generation safety and assistance systems as standard.

Volkswagen Id.3 Gtx, easily recognizable and with more digitalisation
Like the other GTXs, the Id.3s are also distinguished from the less powerful versions by the personalized front end with the specifically designed bumper shield, by the new triangular LED daytime running lights which become new distinctive elements of the family style of the GTX series, by the grip lower air with the diamond grille, which is also found in the rear bumper which also houses the aerodynamic diffuser for the 20″ alloy wheels of specific design, with luminous signatures designed at the front by active matrix LED headlights and at the rear by LEDs, GTX logos and some details of the black bodywork.
The passenger compartment has been revisited in a sporty key with ergonomically designed front seats and upholstery with red stitching, a color also taken up by profiles inserted into the furniture. The GTXs bring new digital instrumentation to the Id.3 range, the gear lever moved to the steering column and the 12″9 display of the new generation of Volkswagen infotainment with voice assistant and ChatGpt.
