The reform lacks clarity and persuasiveness. In the end, Karl Lauterbach didn’t involve the federal states after a lot of controversy, but without them he can’t decide what should go.
In the end, no one will be to blame – but no one will be helped either. Hospitals that are actually needed will continue to disappear. And others will continue to operate in the hamster wheel and compete for customers, despite new requirements for equipment and different pay.
