How dangerous is it when someone at the top creates and decides and the others obey him and don’t give any impulses themselves?
Many a company boss made sure that everyone sat back because the ideas came from him. If I have a structure that is not geared towards personal initiative, as is often the case with strong company leaders, I cannot suddenly demand independence from my employees. They are afraid to make decisions. If people are not used to expressing their ideas, I have to guide them there first. Build a new leadership culture that is more team-oriented. But that takes years.
