The winners of the 2022 ANDAM Fashion Awards have been released, and the winning brand is the unisex brand Botter from the Caribbean.
Brand designers Lisi Herrebrugh and Rushemy Botter were Nina Ricci’s artistic directors. They will receive €300,000 in prize money, as well as mentoring from Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Fashion at Chanel, Eva Chen, VP of Fashion Partnerships at Instagram, and Mytheresa’s senior leadership team.
London-based womenswear designer Robert Wun won the special award; Bluemarble won the Pierre Bergé award; Dolly Cohen won the accessories award; Ever Dye won the fashion innovation award.
There are 13 finalists for the 2022 ANDAM Fashion Award, with the winner selected by a 33-member jury. Other finalists include South African menswear designer Lukhanyo Mdingi; Berlin-based womenswear brand Ottolinger; Copenhagen menswear brand Heliot Emil; and unisex New York designer Peter Do, among others.
“This year’s winners exude talent and energy, and their brands are full of will that will allow them to grow exponentially with Andam over the next few seasons,” said Guillaume, director of graphics and communications and board member at Galeries Lafayette Houzé said he served on a jury. “In addition to the winners, the quality of the nominees is unmistakable year after year and continues to showcase Andam’s major role in the emerging fashion landscape.”
