Bago, who has rich acting experience, made his debut as a child star at the age of 8, and it has been 60 years since then. In addition to participating in film and television dramas, he has also stepped into hosting programs, not only won 3 Golden Bell Awards, but also served as the host of the “Three Gold” (Golden Horse, Golden Bell, Golden Melody) award ceremony.
Bago rarely appeared in front of the screen in his later years. He turned his focus to public welfare. He served as the chairman of the “Taiwan Quality Life Association” and became the executive director of the association after leaving office. The last two theatrical works were guest appearances in “The Distance Between Us and Evil” and “Female Soldier’s Diary, Female Force Report”.
Half a year ago, Bago was reluctant to disclose his pancreatic cancer after he went to the hospital to find out that he had advanced pancreatic cancer. Only close friends knew about it. After the New Year, his condition deteriorated sharply. He originally loved to party with friends, but he was reluctant to go out.
Bago and his wife Zhang Lingna have been married for 41 years and have 2 children and 2 daughters. Both sons have settled in the United States, while he and his daughter live in Taiwan. Before his death, his wife and children accompanied him and walked peacefully.
