In a recent podcast appearance, Mike Tindall, husband of Zara Phillips and a member of the British royal family, has disclosed the nickname by which Prince William is known within the royal circle. Tindall revealed that the heir to the throne is often referred to as ‘One Pint Willy’.
The nickname ‘One Pint Willy’ seems to stem from Prince William’s reputation as a lightweight when it comes to drinking. Tindall, a former rugby player, joked that a single pint is enough to make the future King feel worse for wear. The moniker may also be a nod to the numerous royal obligations that require Prince William to attend events with cocktails and toasts.
“While the Prince of Wales is not exactly the best drinker, coming from a sport that involves socializing and having a couple of beers quite frequently, I can confirm that the nickname is ‘One Pint Willy’,” Tindall shared on the Seven podcast.
