Just like in March, The Government confirmed that it will deliver a bonus of $70,000 in April for all retirees who earn the minimum, to alleviate the impact on purchasing power due to high inflation.
The measure was published in the Official Gazette through decree 268/24 and has the signatures of the president Javier Mileythe chief of staff Nicolas Posse and the Minister of Human Capital Sandra Pettovello.
As indicated in the regulation, it represents “a pension financial aid for a maximum amount of seventy thousand pesos ($70,000), which will be paid in the month of April 2024.”
The decree establishes that for those beneficiaries who, for the sum of all their current benefits, receive an amount greater than the amount of $134,445.30, the financial aid will be equal to the amount necessary until reaching the limit of $204,445.30.
The decree mentions that the bonus is delivered for “The serious socioeconomic situation that our country is going through has caused, among other issues, an accelerated rise in the price index, with special impact on older adults with lower incomesfor whom it is necessary to resort to their support”.
