One hundred years of Moto Guzzi. And the house celebrates its anniversary: with an exhibition at the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera (Pisa) of the most precious and representative motorbikes of Moto Guzzi, which thus celebrates the century of life of the Mandello del Lario house, founded in 1921. The exhibition will be scheduled until June 17, and will have an itinerant philosophy: it has already left Milan on April 15, with the Aci Storico Club that is taking care of bringing one of the most important brands in motorcycling and industry around Italy automotive of Italy.
On display it will be possible to see historical pieces, often unique specimens, alongside other extraordinary historical Moto Guzzi bikes that are part of the permanent collection of the Piaggio Museum, including the legendary Otto Cilindri which, in the mid-1950s, represented the most advanced project in terms of of technology in the racing world and still today amazes for the audacity of its technical solutions “.
Among the motorbikes (until mid-June at the Piaggio Museum) there are the Sport 500 of the 1920s, the Sport 15 (futuristic creation of the 1930s), the Guzzino of the 40s, the Falcone which entered forcefully into popular culture, the Galletto 192, the V7 Sport which for the boys of the ’70s was a myth of sportsmanship. And again the V50, the super sports car Daytona 1000, to get to the more recent Griso and the nonconformist Mgx-21. The event will continue in Rome (Concorso di Eleganza, Reb Concours, Golf Club Acqua Santa, from 21 to 23 June) with a further series of events in the capital, including an appointment at the Vallelunga racetrack (11 and 12 September) before of the final in Padua, 21-24 October.
In Pontedera, the Piaggio Museum was reopened to the public in February, with the adoption of new access rules: to access it, visitors must book the tour by phone, from Tuesday to Friday, on 0587 27171.
