About 20 people were evacuated, but no one was temporarily Injuried. According to on-site information, the detached house involved was the residence of movie star Lin Qingxia, and she was not in the mansion at the time of the incident.
According to the “Hong Kong 01” report, at 0:00 a.m. on the 8th, a room on the second floor of a mansion at No. 9-11 Anderson Road suddenly caught fire. The scene was densely covered with smoke and the fire was fierce. The fire department rushed to the scene after receiving the report. Two teams of smoke caps and two water pipes were used to put out the fire. At the same time, they assisted about 30 helpers or drivers in the mansion to evacuate.
Initial information indicated no one was injured, but the blaze was not put out until 1.30am. At 1:43 a.m., the fire department raised the fire alarm to level three, and then increased it to four water pipes and four smoke cap teams to fight the fire.
According to the report, Lin Qingxia and her family lived in the nearby mansion at No. 8 Fei’eshan Road, but in 2012, thieves sneaked in and “patronized”. For the sake of safety, Lin Qingxia’s wealthy husband Xing Liyu spent huge sums of money to purchase the land of No. 9 to 11 Anderson Road for 130 million (Hong Kong dollars, the same below), and then spent hundreds of millions to build a “fortress”. It was reported that Xing Li gave the mansion to Brigitte Lin as a gift for her 60th birthday and the 20th anniversary of their marriage. It is estimated that the market value of the mansion has exceeded 1.1 billion yuan. 67-year-old Brigitte Lin posted 3 pictures of mansion landscapes on Weibo earlier. When the fire broke out, Brigitte Lin was not in the mansion.
What is strange is that Lin Qingxia was invited to publish an article in “Lianhe Zaobao” on the 6th in memory of Hong Kong science fiction writer Ni Kuang, and the fire broke out in her mansion the next day. Some netizens speculated that because Mr. Ni Kuang is anti-communist, the reason for the fire in Lin Qingxia’s mansion may be unusual.
