Buddy Duress, the actor known for his roles in “Good Time” and “Heaven Knows What,” has tragically passed away at the age of 38. His brother, Christopher Stathis, shared the news with a sister magazine, confirming the November death and revealing the cause.
Duress, whose first film role was in “Heaven Knows What” in 2014, had a tumultuous life marked by legal troubles. After serving time at New York’s Rikers Island for drug charges, he was cast by the Safdie brothers to share his prison experiences in “Good Time” alongside Robert Pattinson.
Unfortunately, Duress continued to have run-ins with the law, including being arrested for grand larceny and later for threatening to burn down his mother’s house. Despite his struggles, he continued to pursue his passion for acting.
