From this Wednesday, until Sunday, March 10, The long-awaited 2024 edition of the Patagonian Sovereignty Festival will take place. The event will take place on the premises of the Carmen de Patagones Railway, located on Juan de la Piedra Avenue, and promises to be a meeting full of music, dance and local gastronomy.

The opening ceremony, Scheduled for today at 7 p.m., it will be chaired by Mayor Ricardo Marino. Next, starting at 8:30 p.m., a vigil will be held, where talented singers and dancers from the region will stand out.

Organized by the folk dance group “Del Norte, Del Sur”, prominent local artists were invited such as the workshop of Dances General Belgrano, Chimpay Namuncurá, Dance group The Hope, Toly Hernandez, The Singers and The Singer (Sandra Bald, Estela Maris del Rio and Mario Tobares), Maria Candelaria and Maria Light, Jose Gutierrez, Mayi Heiland, The Voices of the Way and Box Girl.

On Thursday the 7th, the 197th anniversary of the battle of 1827 will be commemorated with an official ceremony that will take place at 9:30 on Cerro de la Cabalada. At night, music will take the stage with a rock night, where bands will perform such as Punto San Blas, Bichos del Sur, Ariaudo, Ambición, Danza Teatro Luminar, Los Salieri, Sin la rope and the closing will be by La Gran 7.

Friday the 8th will be dedicated to tropical cumbia, with the participation of renowned artists such as Alejandra Giuventú, Marco Ortega, Somos Nuestros, Jessy & Jhon, TK-EMOS, Banda Ilusión, Mandale Mandale and Pelusa Rupayán.

On Saturday the celebration continues with the traditional parade

On Saturday the 9th it will begin with the traditional civic-military parade and the Creole walk at 4:00 p.m. Following the folk tradition, groups such as Surge, Danzas Linch, Irupé Haure Malambo, Daniel Cantos, El Cardo Danzas, Caja Chica, ADN Calderón Danzas, Federico Tello, Sembrando Estilo Danzas and Florencia Rupayán. The closing of the day will be in charge of the renowned national artist, Juanjo Abregu.

The closing of the Patagonian Sovereignty Festival will be on Sunday, March 10, with a day dedicated to folklore and chamamé.

The stage will be animated by the music of: El Rafa Huerao, Little Dances of the Earth, Surgentes, Women Folklore Dances, Arraigo, El Ceibo Dance School, Cata Villarino Folkloric School, Guarany Tribute, La Esperanza Dances, La Juntada Dances, Gisell Bustos, Gaucho Molina and La Comarca Dance School Chamamecera, in addition to the outstanding participation of Valentino and his chamamecero ensemble.
