Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni gave his usual press conference this Tuesday in one of the rooms of the Casa Rosada.
Adorni’s phrases at the conference:
The 100 days of Government. “The case of President Milei is an atypical case. It is the first government that in the first 100 days has a DNU rejected and they tried to stop the country, teres, buses and we were threatened with gas and fuel cuts. We understand that part of politics has reacted in a different way. “This was the only government that in the first days has meticulously fulfilled each of the points promised in the campaign.”
Dissolution. “The Ministry of Economy decided to move forward with the elimination of the Institute of Family Peasant Agriculture and the Family Council of Family Agriculture. It had 964 employees, it will be transformed into a management with 64 employees, 900 non-working positions will be reduced. “It will mean savings of 9 billion pesos.”
Rentals and DNU in Deputies. “The DNU is still in force and so is the repeal of the rental law. No one will be left at the mercy of bad politics. For everything there is plan B, plan C and designed alternatives.”
Retirements. “The new formula probably contemplates that the retiree does not continue to lose against inflation. For now the DNU formula is not an alternative. We believe that the debate should take place between all sectors. “It is a delicate issue that will always be within the budget reduction and fiscal balance.”
Suspension of the increase in gas. “We have no intention of distorting anything. That the public hearing has been held is a bureaucratic issue that has nothing to do with speculation. “We have no intention of delaying any increase.”
Layoffs at Santa Cruz dams and relationship with China. “It can’t affect anything. We are very clear about the points of our relationship with the world. “We don’t see any relationship.”
Resignation of Armando Guibert. “The reasons were strictly personal. We do not announce replacements until the decision is made and published in the Official Gazette. Don’t speculate. When things happen we will announce them to you.”
Milei’s invitation to Mexico. “It is not on the agenda yet. “It doesn’t mean that it won’t happen, it just doesn’t mean it’s not confirmed.”
